Spring has Sprung…

I am so glad that spring has finally decided to finally sink its roots into the ground. I was so

disappointed that we never made our annual trek to DC to see the cherry blossoms. We’ve lived in this area going 15 years now and more often than not we kick off the spring season with a jaunt downtown to see all of the beautiful blooms on the tidal basin. This year, the weather just made it very unappealing. The days that were best for us, it was cold and miserable–no way to ring in spring if you ask me. But, now that the weather has warmed up, the flowers are bursting everywhere you look. Had some fun snapping some photos in the yard.

those pink ones near the end were beautiful – what are they?
They are both azaleas….gorgeous aren’t they? They were all in bloom when we were bike riding around Herndon on Mother’s Day…
