- Aerobics: drop the spoon; mommy picks it up; drops the spoon; mommy picks it up
- First dinner all by himself–spagehtti, thank god for oxyclean
- Look mom, no training wheels!
- Great big, super slobbery hugs
- First day in kindergarten

- Cub scout family camping
- First sleep away camp!
That’s where I’m at, my baby’s first sleep away camp. It’s so hard to believe how quickly the time has gone by. I can remember all those wonderful days just hanging out and spending time together. Playing and reading together. Always pleasant and happy, and even more so with mom nearby. Lots of trips to the park and playing with other little buddies. Showing stubborn streaks here and there, that no doubt is a foreshadowing of things to come, compliments of mom and dad’s genes.
It’s nice to see that fiery independence in his eyes, as he looks forward to his first week long camp away from home. He looked so grown up with his hat on and uniform just so. Even though I will miss him, I am sure he will have a ball. But it doesn’t make all those little milestones any easier, as you remember how little they were, and you see how grown up they are becoming. Wouldn’t it be nice to bottle some how all these wonderful little moments so that you could just open up and relive them again whenever you want? As much as it can be sad, it also makes you happy to see that they will be ok, and somehow survive without you. Just like you did. Hard to believe, but true. It’s only a matter of time.
My “baby” is looking at colleges this summer! She has her drivers license, turns 17 in a few weeks and is having her senior portraits taken next month! Where does the time go?
